Preamble

The Foundation Patient & Clinical Pharmacy strives to promote clinical pharmacy, the science and practice of rational drug use in science and research, with the aim of improving patient safety during drug therapy.

​

Modern drug therapy is an essential cornerstone of any medical treatment. Quality management is critical to assure an effective response to therapy as well as the least possible harm mitigating drug-induced toxicity-risk. The goal is to achieve the best possible efficacy, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.

Our Foundation’s objective is to develop and promote science and research at the interface of pharmacy and medicine or science and practice and to gain new insight into optimised drug therapy and, above all, its implementation into daily practice by providing support for different research projects.

Purpose of the Foundation

​

The Foundation Patient & Clinical Pharmacy is an independent charitable foundation based in Munich, Germany. Its purpose is to promote science and research as well as public health and public health care. Thus, it pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes.

​

The Foundation realises its aims by promoting patient-oriented clinical, epidemiological and implementation research in the field of clinical pharmacy with the focus on transfer of clinical evidence to patient care (translational research).
